Granada: You could get to know the colonial city of Granada, founded in 1524 and considered the oldest city of the Americas. Also in Granada, you visit the world famous Isletas, which are hundreds of islands bordering Granada in Lake Nicaragua. If you are feeling adventurous, you can visit the Mombacho volcano. Explore the cloud forest of this volcano and the impressive views. Masaya: How about the idea of looking straight into an active volcano? The Masaya Volcano is one of the many active volcanoes in Nicaragua; afterward, you could visit the famous Arts & Crafts Masaya Market. Also, in Masaya lies the placid Apoyo Lagoon, a once volcano, now lagoon filled with tranquility and relaxation. Be sure to bring your hiking shoes, swimsuits and other accessories as this day long tour will leave you breathless and completely satisfied.

Just 5 minutes from the San Juan del Sur bay, “Da’ Flying Frog” offers the longest zip line with a 2.5 KM long trek through the rain forest. The route is made of 16 connecting cables in 17 stations, mostly located on top of trees, with the longest cable measuring 328 meters (1,076 ft). The highest point on the route is 70 meters (230 feet) and can reach a maximum velocity of up to 70 km/h. The entire route is 45 minutes and costs $30.00 per person plus transportation.

Take a tour to the nature reserve "Charco Verde" and learn about the myths and legends of the lagoon, have fish for lunch and take in the spectacular scenery of the two volcanoes that can only be found in Ometepe, named Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in June 2010.
