Morgan’s Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge is part of a 1,100-hectare reforestation project and a 900-hectare private nature reserve. Mile-Long Beach & Protected Bay

Mile-long picturesque sandy beach. The crescent-shaped bay naturally inhibits rip tides, making morning and afternoon swims safe and enjoyable. This private bay with a 1.2 km long beach offers guests a secluded stretch of Pacific coast to relax and connect with the ocean.

Hanging Bridge & Trails

A 110-meter-long hanging bridge is one of Morgan’s Rock’s signature features, linking different areas of the property and offering unique views of the forest and beach. Guests also have access to hiking trails on the reserve, adding an easy way to explore the surrounding nature on foot.

Farm & Agro-Tourism Experiences

Part of the property is dedicated to low-impact agricultural land and sustainable tropical forestland, providing around 60% of the basic food used at the lodge. Guests are welcome to visit the farm, help collect eggs or milk the cows, and enjoy rustic farmhouse breakfasts with handmade tortillas cooked on the hearth.

La Bastide Restaurant

La Bastide, the open-air restaurant and bar at Morgan’s Rock, sits on a shady platform overlooking the pool, the surrounding forest, and the private beach and cove. Diners enjoy special Nicaraguan dishes and a variety of international flavors prepared with high-quality local ingredients, including products from the hacienda and sustainable shrimp farm. Vegetarian options and different dietary requirements can be accommodated, with meals served à la carte for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Commodore Bar & Beach Bar

Commodore Bar, located next to La Bastide on a shady platform overlooking the pool and forest with views toward the beach and cove, offers Nicaraguan cocktails, beers, rum and international spirits. The Beach Bar features modern, airy nautical décor with light woods and waterfront seating, where guests can watch the Pacific Ocean sunset while ordering drinks from a rustic beach bar.
