How to get here

By Air & Ground Transfers
You can reach Morgan’s Rock via two main international gateways:

  • Managua (MGA), Nicaragua – Nicaragua’s capital city, located about 3 hours north of Morgan’s Rock by car.
  • Liberia (LIR), Costa Rica – the main city in northern Costa Rica with an international airport served by major US airlines and domestic Costa Rican airlines, located roughly 3–3.5 hours south of Morgan’s Rock by car, depending largely on border-crossing times.

Our team will gladly arrange private ground transfers from these and other key points:

  • Managua → Morgan’s Rock – travel time: approx. 3 hours
  • Granada → Morgan’s Rock – travel time: approx. 1.5 hours
  • Morgan’s Rock → Rivas / San Jorge / Costa Esmeralda Airport / Peñas Blancas – travel time: approx. 1 hour
  • Liberia → Morgan’s Rock – travel time: approx. 3–3.5 hours, depending on border traffic

Please note that rental cars are not allowed to cross the Costa Rica–Nicaragua border. When traveling via Liberia, our transportation providers will coordinate experienced drivers on both sides and assist you through the border process, including changing vehicles.

Driving directions

For guests arriving by car on the Nicaraguan side, please note an important access update.

Starting March 27, 2026, access to Morgan’s Rock will be via the Pacific Coastal Highway (La Costanera), entering through the Playa El Remanso – Brito section.

Please note that the previous access route via La Chocolata – Rivas, as well as the turnoff toward Marsella, Majagual, and Maderas, will no longer be available from that date onward.

This new route not only helps reduce travel time, but also offers a more scenic drive along the coast, allowing your experience to begin from the journey itself.

If you would like personalized assistance planning your arrival, our team will be happy to help coordinate directions and transfers.
