This place is in an unbelievable location: built into the hillside high above the beach on the rugged coast of Nicaragua. To top off this spectacular setting, the accomodations are luxurious, well-appointed, and comfortable. The food and service in the restaurant the main lodge was very good. And the staff was most helpful and responsive to any request. There are good hiking trails around, and the beach is a great place to explore.
Having traveled to every country in Central America, I can say hands down that Morgan’s Rock and Nicaragua are my favorite places and I hope to be able to return again soon.
Morgan’s Rock is a very unique place and the view from the bungalows is breathtaking. The property is an immense spread and their efforts to be sustainable are amazing. There are oodles of different activities and “tours“ that can be arranged or you can stroll around the trails on your own. The bungalows are outstanding, very spacious and very much like many you will find in Africa and other remote locations.
The 15 individual multi level haciendas on the hillside overlooking the beach could not be more spectacular or comfortable. The preserved forest surrounding the resort was worth the visit, with monkeys and other wildlife easily visible.
Where should I start? The accommodations are amazing. The views are spectacular and the staff is a 10 plus plus plus! The food is delicious and there is only perfection at Morgan’s rock. A must is the beach bar with Mike. He is the happiest man in all of Nicaragua. You can’t go wrong having Gabriella serving your dinner. Also. Any thing you need to know, Mr. Carlos is your Man! And Andre(GM) truly cares about your stay. The Morgan’s Rock experience is priceless. No doubt you will enjoy!!!

My 6 year old boy, Raffaello, and I had a very memorable journey at Morgan’s Rock. In two full days we had so many experiences and came back with a bag full of fun memories together. MR was the ideal place for us for his birthday. Raffaello already reconfirmed that he wants to go back to Nicaragua for his next birthday bringing the entire family (we are six!).
Let me start by saying that this is an absolutely gorgeous resort. The location, setting beach, and staff are all first rate. The team there will do whatever possible to make your time there special.
Morgan’s Rock is exactly what they say they are; an very upscale ecolodge with a fabulous setting, great activities, good food and a very friendly staff. The hacienda we stayed in was very high on the hill, number 14, and we really liked the view, breeze and the hike.
